Exploring Kew Gardens

For years, I’ve thought about a trip to Kew, but for some reason my itinerary has never allowed for a leisurely exploration of the botanical gardens there. Typically when I go to London, it’s a whirlwind one or two day trip, filled to the brim with activities and leaves no time for anything calm & contemplative.

A day that started off misty, with an autumnal chill in the air, became a beautiful blaze of blue and sunshine by lunchtime. I spent around 3 hours at Kew Gardens but that wasn’t nearly enough time. I have to hand it off to all those that make it happen, the biodiversity is astounding, not that you’d expect any different as a listed UNESCO World Heritage site.

I felt almost transported back to the forests of Australia at time, with the collection of familiar yet distant plants and fauna.

A image gallery of my favourite sights of the day is below.
