Touring Florist - Chapter Six

It’s finally here, the very last update of this Touring Florist series over in New Zealand, as I begin to pack my suitcase & wrap up my five month long journey.

To be honest, this week has been a flurry, skittering back up to Auckland where the van has been sold and the very last of the adventures have been completed, so I’m quite surprised to have found the time for some journalling. But it’s really all coming to a close now, and writing this post makes it feel even more tangible. I’m very bittersweet about leaving this place, it’s been an incredible & truly unforgettable experience, but thankfully there’s plenty to get back home for (ahem, ranunculus flowering in England, here’s looking at you).

I’ve been lucky to have met some wonderful flower souls out here, whilst connecting over our love of the natural world and creating such beautiful work together. My inspiration tank is full, and I’m eager to see how this transforms itself into Bryonia’s future plans.

The last few of my thoughts from this adventure are summarised below…

What I’ve learnt

Never be afraid to follow your heart, even if others might question why, you don’t need to justify yourself to strangers

Pushing yourself outside of what’s familiar makes you all the more resilient

Everyone’s dreams are completely different and that’s ok, it’s what makes us human

Use your time wisely by chasing the things that set you alight

Do you also want to travel the world with flowers?

Then we’d love to invite you to take part in our special digital workshop this July, which has been developed and specifically tailored for Florists and Growers to guide you through the ins and outs of flowering overseas.
